Helping Children in Crisis (HCIC), a committee associated with the General Church, exists to facilitate the care of children in crisis by connecting those in need with the resources and people that can help.
Our current focus is supporting 65 orphans at the General Church Sacred Care Orphanage (GCSC) in Etora, Kenya. HCIC and GCSC are working together to establish an orphanage that meets or exceeds the standards required by the Kenyan government.
HCIC is assisting GCSC with fundraising and sponsorship. Because we cannot run a Kenyan orphanage from the United States, HCIC established standards of care and accountability which GCSC must meet to continue to receive funding. You can read about our standards in the HCIC Procedure document.
We have a long way to go, but these children inspire us with their courage and hope, and the Lord inspires us with faith and strength. We hope you feel inspired to help.
